  • Asian Art Museum 200 Larkin Street San Francisco, CA, 94102 United States (map)

"TELL ME ABOUT THE SOUND OF YOUR VOICE."
- Barbara Jane Reyes, "To Proceed, You Must First Understand"

Save the date for a night of using the sounds of our voices loudly!

We invite you to participate in the oral history project Pinay Liminality, which seeks to preserve the personal narratives of Filipino Americans navigating the “in-betweens” of identity in the Bay Area. Inspired by the poetics of Barbara Jane Reyes, this workshop will focus on listening deeply, engaging in thoughtful conversation and collecting Filipino narratives.

This event is brought to you by, PAL / Pilipinx American Library, and is part of their month long installation/ reading room at the Asian Art Museum. To see a full list of PAL's programs to honor the struggle, resistance, joy and promise of Filipino American life in the Bay Area, check out: http://www.asianart.org/pal
